side the clean side of the engine air
inlet (passed air filter).
NOTICE
Remove any dust or debris
that may have moved or shifted inside
the clean side of the air intake silencer
(passed air filter). Clean by pulling on
the dust and not pushing it inside.
Replace
air
according
maintenance schedule and particular
use (especially in dusty environments).
Installing the Air Filter
Carefully install air filter into position.
Note: The air filter should sit itself
correctly.
Please make sure the
seat/receptacle of the intake hose is
not deformed before inserting the air
filter.
Properly position air filter cover then
secure with all screws.
TIGHTENING TORQUE
Air filter cover
screws
Reinstall the right service cover.

Engine Coolant

Recommended Engine Coolant
NOTICE
Always
glycol antifreeze containing corrosion
inhibitors
specifically
combustion aluminum engines.
To prevent antifreeze deterioration, al-
ways use the same brand and grade.
Never mix different brands or grades
unless cooling system is completely
flushed and refilled.

XPS™ RECOMMENDED
COOLANT
Extended life pre-mixed coolant
If THE RECOMMENDED XPS
COOLANT IS NOT AVAILABLE
Use a low silicate, extended life
ethylene-glycol premixed coolant
(50%-50%) specifically formulated
for internal combustion aluminum
engines.
Verifying the Engine Coolant Level
WARNING
When opening the reservoir, the
coolant can be very hot and spray
out if the engine is hot. In order to
avoid getting burned, check the
coolant level when the engine is
cold.
With the engine cold, check the coolant
level as follows:
1. Park the vehicle on a firm, level
surface.
2. Open the front storage compart-
ment cover.
3. Remove the front service cover.
Refer to SERVICE COVERin
EQUIPMENT.
4. Check the coolant level on the
right hand side of the reservoir .
Coolant must be visible slightly
above the COLD level mark.
Note: If engine is hot, coolant must be
visible without exceeding the HOT level
mark.
5. If required, add coolant until it
is visible in the reservoir slightly
above the COLD level mark. Use
