road o r e n g in e heat d u rin g idling or
s lo w d rivin g . T his m eans th a t the
a c c u ra c y of th e d ispla yed te m p e ra ­
tu re can only be v e rifie d by c o m p a ri­
s on to a th e rm o m e te r placed n e x t to
th e s e n s o r, n o t b y c o m p a ris o n to
e xte rn a l d ispla ys (i.e., bank signs,
e tc.).
