Pressing "#" to Leave a Message at the Auto Attendant

To allow users to press "#" to
leave a message at the auto
attendant:

Follow the instructions on page 75
for recording your Auto Attendant
OGM. Be sure to include a phrase
such as "To leave a message in the
general mailbox, please press the
"#" button."

Whenever callers dial "#" during the
Auto Attendant OGM, they will be
able to leave a message at the Auto
Attendant.

Advanced Auto Attendant Features
The Auto Attendant messages do not have any
beep at the end, and will not normally record any
message. However, if the caller presses "#"
while listening to an Auto Attendant message,
the phone will play its ANS OGM and allow the
caller to leave a message
All you need to do is include a phrase such as
"To leave a message, please press "#"" as part of
your Auto Attendant message.
Note that the caller will be able to leave a mes-
sage of the length you have set as the message
length (see page 70). If you set the message
length as ANNC ONLY, the caller will not be able
to press "#" to leave a message.
