Setting Up and Operating Your Telephone's Answering System

Listening to your Messages

Play messages
Press ]. The display will indicate how many new and how many saved messages are
currently stored in the answering system. The voice will announce "You have xx new messages
and xx saved messages. First new message...", followed by the date and time the message was
received, then the message itself, then "next new message" and so on. After all the new messages
are played, the telephone will automatically continue with the saved messages.
Stop message playback
You may press . at any time to stop message playback.
Pause message playback
Press ] to pause message playback. The display will read "Pause". Press ]
again to resume playback.
Repeat a message
During message playback, press the R button to return to the beginning of the current mes-
sage. If you wish to go to the beginning of the previous message, press the R button quick-
ly a second time.
Skip to the next message
During message playback, press , to skip to the next message.
Jump back
During message playback, press B to jump back 2 seconds in the current message. This is
useful for repeating parts of a message, such as a telephone number.
