  • Page 17 Open a nearby faucet. The water may be discolored at first, this is normal. Let water run out of the faucet for at least 10 minutes, or until any discoloration clears up. Depending on the system this may be almost immediate, or it may take a couple of hours. Once the water is cleared up a manual regeneration should be run.
  • Page 18 The black boot on the bottom of the tank may get knocked out of alignment during shipment. If your tank is a bit tilted, simply pick the tank up 2–3 inches (5–8 cm) off the floor and drop it gently but firmly down, favoring the side that needs to be adjusted to make the tank stand straight.
