  • Page 13 This is the part called the bypass boot. This is my finger sticking through the hole. This hole is caused by age and the chlorine (which the city puts in the water) breaks down the plastic. There should be no hole. The degradation of this part will cause the bypass valve to erroneously begin to leak.
