2.2 Enabling boss for web access

boss pages can be viewed by remote user via a simple Internet connection with Browser and the static IP
assigned by the machine where boss is installed.
1.
Go to System Administration
configuration
LAN.

Provide the information required..
Open port 443 for HTTPS access in the network
Firewall.

Go to System Administration

Wait for boss to restart.
5.
Enter the machine's static IP followed by the boss
folder in the Internet browser address bar on any
PC in the network

boss allows access in the internal network without
having IP, but only typing the URL: http // boss- xxxx
where xxxx identify the last 4 digits of the MAC
address.

2.3 Protecting system functions and user administration

Note: System accounts are only required to access the functions indicated above. To set program
accounts, i.e. to set user permissions for boss users, see User configuration.

Under System Administration
passwords and privileges configured previously can
be managed or modified.
Warning: WRITE DOWN YOUR PASSWORD! If you
no longer have a password, contact CAREL customer
care.
