replacement power supply provided by HP, or a power supply purchased as an accessory from HP with the
computer.
The power supply is located on the left side of the chassis. It is held in place by four Torx screws outside of the
chassis. Power cables route under the drive cage.
1. Prepare the computer for disassembly
2. Remove the access panel
3. Remove the optical drive
4. Remove the front bezel
5. Remove the drive cage
6. From the inside of the computer, disconnect the power cables from the following system board
connectors:
(1) PWR
(2) PWRCMD
(3) PWRCPU
7. On the outside, rear of the computer, remove the four Torx screws that secure the power supply to the
rear of the chassis (1).
