Setting Media

A variety of media listed below can be set in the drives
and slots provided on the user interface panel to read
image data stored on these media.
• Memory Stick
• CompactFlash cards
• SmartMedia cards
• PC Card (Type II)
• Floppy disk
• CD-ROMs
Note
• Be sure to back up all image data stored on media
before using it with this unit.
• To avoid loss of image data or damage to the main
unit, never attempt to mount a Memory Stick,
Compact Flash card, Smart Media card, SD card, or
Multimedia card by inserting it in a PC card type
adapter and setting it into the PC card slot.

Using Memory Sticks

With the v mark on the Memory Stick facing up
and forward, insert the Memory Stick completely
into the slot.

When you see a message that prompts you to
remove the Memory Stick, pull the Memory Stick
straight out.
Note
To prevent losing valuable data or damaging the
Memory Stick, never remove the Memory Stick
from the slot until the message prompts you to
remove it.

Using a CompactFlash Card

With the v mark on the CompactFlash card facing
up and forward, insert the CompactFlash card
completely into the slot.
COMPACT FLASH
SMART MEDIA
When you see a message that prompts you to
remove the CompactFlash, pull the CompactFlash
straight out.
Note
To prevent losing valuable data or damaging the
CompactFlash card, never remove the
CompactFlash card from the slot until the message
prompts you to remove it.
