Meaning/Solutions
c The ink ribbon loaded in the printer exceeded the specified number of prints.
Load the allowed number of sheets in the printer and install a new ink ribbon.
c The ink ribbon loaded in the printer exceeded the specified number of prints during
printing.
Touch the [OK] button to stop the print job. Load fresh paper in the printer and install a
new ink ribbon.
c Cannot read the information from the IC seal on the ink ribbon loaded in the printer.
Replace the ink ribbon and paper in the printer with new ones.
c An error of unknown cause occurred.
Confirm that the connections at the unit and printer are secure, then touch the [Retry]
button. If the same message appears again, touch the [Cancel] button to cancel the
operation, shut down the system, then switch the main unit and printer off and on.
Meaning/Solutions
c An error occurred during communication between the unit and the scanner.
Confirm the following:
• Scanner switched on.
• SCSI cable connected correctly.
• Different SCSI ID assigned to each device. (The same ID cannot be assigned to two
devices)
• SCSI terminator set correctly.
Touch the [Retry] button. If the same message is displayed again, touch the [Cancel]
button to cancel the operation, then shut down the system and switch the main unit and
scanner off and on.
Meaning/Solutions
c An abnormal condition inside the film scanner caused an error.
Touch the [Retry] button to continue the scanning job. If the same message appears again,
touch the [Cancel] button to cancell the operation, shut down the system, then switch the
main unit and film scanner off and on.
c A slide remains inside the carrier of the film scanner.
Touch the [Retry] button then remove the slide.
c An abnormal condition in the changer carrier of the film scanner caused an error.
If the same message appears again after touching the [Retry] button, touch the [Cancel]
button to cancel the operation, then shut down the system and switch the main unit and
film scanner off and on.
c Film scanner cover is open.
Close the film scanner cover.
c Film jammed inside the film scanner.
Touch the [Retry] button, then remove the jammed film.
c Film is still set in the film scanner.
Remove the film from the film scanner.
c Film jammed inside the film scanner.
Touch the [Retry] button, then remove the jammed film.
c An abnormal condition in the film scanner lamp caused an error.
Replace the lamp.
