    Digitalinx IP networks. Basic Ethernet Switch Configuration Settings Below is a list of basic Ethernet settings for L2/L3 switches that can be used to configure switches for Digitalinx IP devices.

    The PSE will also manage the power requirements for the attached devices. • A PD is a device powered by a PSE. Examples include Digitalinx IP encoders and decoders, as well as wireless access points. The electric modules that receive power from the PSE are called PD modules.

    Wireless Access Devices In order for the Digitalinx IP Control software on an iPad to connect to the IP video network, it is necessary to deploy a wireless access point (WAP) on the A/V network. Set up an SSID and password for connectivity but Internet access for the WAP is not required.

    Digitalinx IP Network Switch Guide Multiple Switch Networking In a multi switch environment, two or more switches may be uplinked together to become one large A/V network. There are two methods that we address in this configuration guide; cascading and stacking.

In this configuration guide there are separate configurations for the core and extended switch when stacking switches together however when using a stacked network configuration the core network switch will manage the entire network.
