4. 3. Deactivation of stabiliser

Slowly pull the operating lever up to deactivate
the stabilisation. (Fig. 7)

Remove the light connector and tear-off rope, deactivate sta-
bilisation (Fig. 7), pull back the operating lever while conti-
nuing to lift it (Fig. 7), so that the lateral safety flaps (1) are
swung above the safety surfaces and the operating lever can
be brought into the opened position. The drawbar wheel can
now be used to disconnect the trailer from the towing vehicle.
} Note:
When disconnecting the overrun hitch can be
released, i.e. the bellow is stretched.
If the trailer will not be used for a long time, it should be stored
with the closed ball hitch. For this, lift the opened operating
lever (Fig. 5), while pulling the ball socket (movable ele-
ment with friction lining – Fig. 10) forward and close the
operating lever slowly.
Use the handles on the trailer to manoeuvre the trailer, the
operating lever of the ball hitch of the ZKAS is not designed
for manoeuvring.

4. 5. Stabiliser control

Once the stabiliser has been connected and activated, the
condition of the friction linings can be checked.
If the wear indicator points to green (Fig. 8), the friction ele-
ments are new or sufficient for driving.

If the indicator has already reached the yellow transition area,
the friction elements must be replaced.
If the indicator points to red (Fig. 9), driving with the trailer
is not allowed.
The possible causes are: The friction elements are worn, the
coupling ball is worn, in the ball space of the ZKAS there is no
coupling ball.

4. 6. Anti-theft system

The ZKAS ball hitch can be secured with ROBSTOP anti-theft
system through the special opening on the side of the housing
in the connected and disconnected condition.
