To view the advanced wireless security settings:
1. Select Wi-Fi from the left pane.
2. Cick Advanced Settings to view the advanced wireless
security settings of your Fios Home Wi-Fi Extender.
MAC AUTHENTICATION
You can view the access to your wireless network allowing access
only to those devices with specific MAC addresses.
802.11 MODE
From the 802.11 Mode section, you can view the wireless access
to your network of the 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz wireless communication
standard (mode) best suited or compatible with the devices you
allow access to your wireless network.
The wireless mode:
• Compatibility – This is the default mode setting, providing a good
balance of performance and compatibility with existing wireless
devices. 802.11a,b,g,n,ac and ax devices can connect.
• Legacy – For older wireless devices. Only 802.11a,n and ac
devices can connect. Both 802.11n and 802.11ac are available on
the 5 GHz frequencies. 802.11a (legacy mode) will cause your
wireless network to slow and is not recommended.
