Open the battery cover and insert a charged battery as in Installing Battery.

Press the power button to power on.

Before replacing the main battery, make sure the backup battery is well-charged in order to avoid
unnecessary data loss. After removing the main battery, insert a well-charged battery as soon as
possible.
Hot swap
Backup battery supplies system power during battery swap.
When battery cover is removed, the system will enter suspend mode and not wake up until the battery
cover is put back and the power button is pressed.
To perform the hot swap:
Make sure the new battery is fully-charged.

Follow Step 1 to 2 in Installing Battery to remove the battery cover. Upon the removal of the
cover, the system will prepare to enter suspend mode with the red light lit, which will last for 3
to 5seconds.

Observe the status indicator on the upper area of the front side of the BHT. As the red light
goes off, the BHT is in complete suspend mode and the main battery is ready to be replaced.
Remove the battery and replace it with the new one.
Caution: Please do not perform a battery swapping before BHT ' s OS is ready. (Home Screen is
displayed.) Removing the battery cover during the start-up of BHT (pressing down the power
button until the Home Screen is displayed) may cause a system failure.
Note: When the main battery is removed, the system will stay in suspend mode. To avoid the
system being shut down without warning, please replace the main battery within one minute.
If the status indicator stays lit over 10 seconds after removing the battery cover, please put the
battery cover back right away and perform the hot swap later.
