4.3 Factory Preloaded Configuration

In the table below you will find explained the device configuration already preloaded at the factory.
The user has the possibility to customize this configuration and with the help of
$PFAL,Sys.Device.FactoryReset command to delete all Factory Settings. In order to keep factory
settings saved you have to store them in a *.config file on your computer and when required you can
load it again on the device.

In the MAMBO2 EVALKIT standard configuration, the displaying of debug information is disabled.

The syntax of responses sent from the MAMBO2 when the user request data via PFAL commands. For
example, you have configure the MAMBO2-B6 to output its position periodically to the serial interface
using:

Activates the screensaver. When activated the current time and date will be displayed on the screen.
$PFAL,CNF.Set,DISP.TZ=UTC+1.0
Specifies the time zone + local time (i.e. for Berlin is +1.0 hour).
subtract the number of hours to/from your city time.
$PFAL,CNF.Set,GSM.PIN=1111
The PIN of the SIM card is set to 1111. If you are going to use another SIM card, please specify the
correct PIN before before starting up the device with a new SIM card.
$PFAL,CNF.Set,TCP.CLIENT.CONNECT=1,80.237.210.75,4444
The IP address and the port number of the TCP server are defined to 80.237.210.75 (Falcom
trace4you server) and 4444 respectively. That means, when booting up the device and the
GPRS.AUTOSTART parameter has been set to 1, it tries to connect automatically to the specified IP
address.
$PFAL,CNF.Set,GPRS.AUTOSTART=1
The device tries to connect automatically to the the GPRS and the specified server IP address.
$PFAL,CNF.Set,GSM.OPERATOR.SELECTION=auto
Automatically search for a GSM operator.

This parameter specifies the device name. In Evalkit configuration it specifies the device serial
number. When MAMBO2 sends an SMS message or logs in to a remote server, it identifies itself using
this name.
