The Torque figures given below are recommended maximum settings only.

1 – 4 hrs Bolts are fully tightened
Condition of flails
Condition of hoses especially for chafing
Flail bolts are fully tightened
Flail head retaining bolts are fully tightened
Gearbox seals (If oil is leaking replace immediately)
Inspect leaks from fittings and pipes
Pins and bushes
Rotor bearing bolts are fully tightened
8 hrs Bearings
Gearbox & pump bolts are fully tightened
Gearbox oil level
Grease points & PTO shaft
Motor Drive
Maintain correct belt tension on head (only with belt
drive heads)
Oil level in reservoir
U.J. joints
50 hrs Gearbox oil (use EP 90 oil)
Return line filter element
250-300 hrs Return line filter element
Hydraulic oil if any signs of contamination appears
Excel 606, 686, 726 & 836
