Insulating the pipe located inside of the outdoor unit
f With a pipe insulator, insulate the pipe up to whole service valve located inside of the outdoor unit . X
f Seal the gap between the outdoor unit pipe and the insulator . Rainwater and dewdrops may soak through the gap

between the pipe and the insulation of the outdoor unit installed on the outside .
f Separate the cover of the pipe and close it after insulation work . Only remove a knock-out hole cover where the
X
pipe will be installed . If the knock-out hole is open unnecessarily, it must be closed . If not, small animals such as
squirrels and rats may get into the unit through the hole and the unit may be damaged .
