Behaviour in the event of faults

8.1.4
The following generally applies:
1. If works in the danger zone are necessary, the entire plant must be
switched off and protected against an accidental restart.
2. The cause of the fault must be determined.
3. The person responsible for the area in which the fault occurred should
be informed immediately.
4. Depending on the type of fault, the manufacturer may have to be con-
tacted and will then have the fault removed by an authorized specialist,
or will remove the fault themselves.

8.2 Fault and other status messages

Faults (synonymously used here for "alarms") during the operation of the
DL230, can be identified by means of status symbols in the first line of the
display (see chapter 6.3.4).
You can obtain further information and messages under the current status
"Stat" and in the status register "SReg". These can be found
- in the register Admin  Status and Serv.  Status.

Description, process
Should this message be shown during operation, the
device is faulty.
Please contact the Elster customer service team (see

An error was detected during cyclic checking of calibra-
tion-relevant data.
Please contact the Elster customer service team (see
chapter 1.3 "Customer service").
The rate of flow set for the encoder has been exceeded.
The encoder connected does not supply any data at
times which may be invoicing-relevant.
