5-1. Using the air conditioning system and defogger
WARNING
■
To prevent the windshield from fogging up
●
Do not use
The difference between the temperature of the outside air and that of the
windshield can cause the outer surface of the windshield to fog up, block-
ing your vision.
●
Do not place anything on the instrument
panel which may cover the air outlets.
Otherwise, air flow may be obstructed,
preventing the windshield defoggers
from defogging.

To prevent burns
Do not touch the rear view mirror surfaces when the outside rear view mirror
defoggers are on.

Do not disassemble or repair the system because it contains high voltage
parts. Contact any authorized Toyota retailer or Toyota authorized repairer,
or any reliable repairer if the system needs repair.
NOTICE
■
To prevent 12-volt battery discharge
Do not leave the air conditioning system on longer than necessary when the
hybrid system is off.
■
To prevent damage to nanoe
Do not insert anything into the driver's side vent, attach anything to it, or use
sprays around the driver's side vent. These things may cause the system
not to work properly.
