The damping is tuned individually for each wheel
and is affected by the following factors:
The road surface conditions

The drive program can be adjusted using the
DYNAMIC SELECT switch.

AIRMATIC
Function of AIRMATIC
AIRMATIC is an air suspension system with varia‐
ble damping for improved driving comfort. The
all-round level control system ensures the best
possible suspension and constant ground clear‐
ance, even with a laden vehicle. When driving at
speed, the vehicle is lowered automatically to
improve driving safety and to reduce fuel con‐
sumption. The option of manually adjusting the
vehicle level is also available.
Characteristics
The suspension tuning is comfortable.

The vehicle is set to the normal level.

When driving at speeds above 125 km/h the vehicle is lowered.

When driving at speeds below 80 km/h the vehicle is raised again.

The suspension tuning is comfortable.

The vehicle is set to the low level.

The vehicle is not lowered any further if you are travelling at higher speeds.
