2.7.4 Alignment of the buttonhole with the knife incision

2.7.5 Distance between the lips

NOTE
The knife must stand in the middle of the plastic counter plate and of
the slit of the throat plate insert.
Rule:
The knife incision should be located in the middle between the two lips.
Setting:
Turn the screw 4 according to the rule.

Rule:
The lips should not be damaged by the knife.
Setting:

Loosen the screw 5 and shift it in the coulisse according to the
Rule.

Check setting by making a sewing test.
NOTE
In case of the a.m. setting only the right lip will be shifted. Therefore it is
absolutely necessary to check and, if necesary, to correct the setting
according to chapter 2.7.4 Alignment of the buttonhole with the knife
incision.
