Connect the Laptop

From the front of the S8300 Media
Server, connect the crossover Ethernet
cable to the Services port.

Connect the other end of the cable to
the Ethernet port on the laptop.

Power on the laptop.

Verify the Services network settings:
a. IP Address: 192.11.13.5
b. Subnet Mask: 255.255.255.252
c. Domain Name Service (DNS):
disabled.

Open MS Internet Explorer and disable
the Proxy Server.

In the browser address field, initiate
access to the S8300 by typing in lower
case:
http://192.11.13.6
