APPENDIX 2 SUB SYSTEM
To share the sensor data throughout the system, use HUB-3000 and HUB-100 and connect equip-
ment in subsystems. For example, in the configuration below, the system does not have HUB-100.
In this case the No.1 Chart radar can only receive data from the No. 2 Gyro and the No.1 ECDIS
can only receive data from the No. 1 Gyro.
No.2 Gyro
The configuration of subsystem A to Z is as shown below.
• Subsystem A: The processor units are connected to the sensor adapters through HUB-100.
• Subsystem B to Z: The processor unit is connected the sensor adapter directly.
For example, in the system configuration shown below the subsystems are arranged as follows:
• Subsystem A: No.2 chart radar, No.2 ECDIS and No.3 ECDIS
• Subsystem B: No.1 ECDIS
• Subsystem C: No.1 Chart radar
