About Connectors and SCSI Interface Cables

Your Film Scanner is equipped with Full-Pitch 50-Pin and D-Sub 25-Pin SCSI interface connectors. Check
the shape of the SCSI connector on your computer or SCSI device to ensure that your interface cable can be
used with the Film Scanner.
CAUTION:
• Your Film Scanner include SCSI interface cables (cable length 1.8 m or 5.9 ft) with a D-Sub 25-Pin
and Full-Pitch 50-Pin connector on either end.
• If you are using a generic or other type of interface cable, ensure that it is a high-impedance type
cable. If the wrong (non-high-impedance) type of cable is used, the Film Scanner may not be
detected by your computer.
• The connectors of SCSI host adapter cards for SCSI II devices on the market are generally of the
Half-Pitch 50-Pin variety. To connect your Film Scanner in this case, purchase an interface cable
with a Half-Pitch 50-Pin connector on one end and a Full-Pitch 50-Pin connector on the other end,
or a Half-Pitch 50-Pin connector on one end and a D-Sub 25-Pin connector on the other end.
