    1 Introduction The BEETLE /XS is the ideal system platform for customers who desire maximum system availability and lowest operating costs. The fanless and closed system design and the use of innovative M.2 memory technology ensures maximum reliability. The dust-tight, closed housing protects the interior of the system against soiling and foreign objects.

    Pull all data communications cables out of the plug connections of the data networks. • Disengage all cables at the devices. The Mini-DIN plugs (with Diebold Nixdorf key- boards) are equipped with a locking mechanism against unintended disengagement. To disengage this plug, pull the plastic sleeve away from the socket.

    Connect for example a scale with dedicated power supply to the . COM1-COM2 are designed as 9-pin D-sub plugs. If you connect scales to the device which are not supplied by Diebold Nixdorf, then you must acquire a license for the driver software!
  • Page 15 The function (RMT) makes it possible for you to switch on the BEETLE system which is currently in Standby or Hibernation mode. It is also possible to move the system from switched-on status into Standby or Hibernation mode. The settings in the operating system determine which mode is active thereby.     Due to variations in walls/ceilings, it is necessary to check the compatibility of the screws, wall plugs, and the wall/ceiling material, including the substructure, at the construction site.     Loosen the two knurled screws by rotating them to the left. Figure 11-1: Loosening knurled screws. Pull the housing cover a bit towards yourself and remove it in an upwards direction.     Switch the device off and pull the power plug. Remove the housing cover. Press it against the latching mechanism until the battery is released.
