Universal Serial Bus (USB) Ports
There are two USB 3.0 ports (USB0/1) on the I/O back panel.
Ethernet Port
A dedicated IPMI LAN port is located next to the USB 0/1 ports on the back panel. This GbE
Ethernet port accepts RJ45 type cables. Refer to the LED Indicator Section for LAN LED
information.
Unit Identifier Switch/UID LED Indicator
A Unit Identifier (UID) switch and a rear UID LED (LE1) are located on the I/O back panel. A
front UID switch connects to pins 7 & 8 of the front panel control (JF1). When you press the
front or the rear UID switch, both front and rear UID LEDs will be turned on. Press the UID
switch again to turn off the LED indicators. The UID indicators provide easy identification of
a system that may be in need of service.
Note: UID can also be triggered via IPMI. For more information on IPMI, please refer to the
IPMI User's Guide posted on our website at http://www.supermicro.com.
