Inserting batteries

By inserting 2 x 1 .5 V batteries (type AAA/Micro/LR03), you prevent
the set time, alarm times and stored radio stations from being deleted
in the event of a power failure . The batteries make sure that the internal
clock continues to run even during a power outage . The display
will go out, however . When power is restored, the correct time auto­
matically appears on the display
NOTE
► The device can also be operated using the mains power connec­
tion only without batteries . Operation using the batteries only is
not possible .
► In the event of a power failure, all settings (such as time, alarm
times and stored radio stations) will be reset if there are no
charged batteries in the battery compartment
♦ Open the battery compartment cover
device .
♦ Insert 2 x 1 .5 V AAA/Micro/LR03 batteries (not supplied) into
the battery compartment

♦ Close the battery compartment
snapping it into place .

♦ Completely unwind the wire aerial
