Trouble which does not trigger an alarm/warning

This section shows the examples of possible causes of trouble which does not trigger an alarm or warning. Refer to this
section and remove each cause of trouble.
Precautions
• When the servo amplifier, servo motor, controller, or encoder malfunctions, the cases shown in this section may occur.

The display shows "A" (unconnected to the controller)

• The display shows "A". (The controller is not connected.)
• The status of each axis is indicated in each digit.
1-axis servo amplifier: "A _ _"
2-axis servo amplifier: "AA _"
3-axis servo amplifier: "AAA"
Possible cause
1.
The power supply of the servo system
controller is turned off.
2.
The power supply of the device between the
controller and servo amplifier is turned off.
3.
The amplifier-less operation function of the
servo system controller is enabled.
4.
An Ethernet cable was disconnected.
5.
An incompatible controller is connected.
6.
The setting of the rotary switch is incorrect.
7.
The communication cycle does not match.
8.
The axis is disabled.

The display shows "r##"

• The display shows "r##". (## indicates network addresses.)
Possible cause
1.
The system is in the servo-off or ready-off
state.

The display shows "TST"

• The display shows "TST".

1.
The test operation mode is enabled.

Check/action method
Switch on the power supply of the servo system controller.
Turn on the power of the device between the controller and servo amplifier.
Cancel the amplifier-less operation function of the servo system controller.
Replace the Ethernet cable.
Check if the connector (CN1A/CN1B) is disconnected.
Connect with a compatible controller.
Check that another servo amplifier is not assigned to the same axis No.
Refer to the controller instruction manual and check the communication cycle.
Turn off the disabling control axis switch.
Check/action method
Turn the servo-on for all the axes.
Check/action method
Turn off the test operation select switch (SW3-1).
Refer to "Switch setting and display of the servo amplifier" in the following
