Chapter 8: Directory

There are two directories available on the D100: global and local. The global directory downloads
from IP Office and cannot be changed. The local directory is configured by the user logged in on the
handset.
The maximum number of global directory entries is 100 per base station. The maximum number of
local directory entries is 100 per handset.
You can access the directories by pressing More.. > Dir. In the Contacts submenu, the My soft key
accesses the local directory and the System soft key accesses the global directory.

Contact list
The contact list includes global and local directory entries in alphabetic order. Each entry contains
the user name and phone number. The entries are not case-sensitive.
While navigating the contact lists, note the following:
• Pressing a number key on the dialpad jumps to the contact name that starts with the first letter
associated with the key.
• Pressing the same number key again jumps to the contact name associated with the second
letter associated with the key.
• Pressing a different number key jumps to the contact name that starts with the first letter
associated with the new key.
Procedure
1. In the Idle state, press More.. > Dir.
2. Select the My soft key to view the local directory.
