4. AWDFLASH.EXE
This program allows you to replace the existing BIOS with a new
BIOS file (.ex. 4822_SYS.BIN)
5. 4822_SYS.BIN
This binary file contains the system BIOS which does not incorpo-
rate a Boot ROM image file.
6. 4822BOOT.BIN (default)
This binary file contains the system BIOS which incorporates a
Boot ROM image file.

10Base-2/10Base-5 AUI Connector (CN1)

10Base-2 and 10Base-5 coax connections are made via an attach-
ment unit interface or AUI (CN1). This consists of a 16-pin, dual-
in-line male header.

10Base-T RJ-45 Connector (CN4)

10Base-T connections are made via the on-board RJ-45 connector.

Network Boot

The PCM-4822 is shipped with remote boot function capability. By
combining the boot ROM image and the system BIOS this function
is enabled. If, by chance, you do not require the remote boot
capability, you can update the BIOS (with boot function) using
AWDFLASH.EXE.
Follow the steps below to update the system BIOS:
1.Apply power to the PCM-4822. Ensure that the 4822_SYS.EXE
and AWDFLASH.EXE are located in the working drive.
NOTE: Ensure that you do not run AWDFLASH.EXE while
your system is running in EMM386 mode.
