Power cords that connect T9x40 tape drives to StorageTek libraries ship with the drives.
In the case of 9310-, 9360-, 9740-, and L5510- attached drives, the cords connect the tape
drive power supply to the 9741/9741E Drive Cabinet power outlet. Refer to the Nearline
Enterprise 9310/4410/9360 LSM System Assurance Guide, part number ML6500 to order
the power cords that connect the 9310-, 9360-, or 9740-attached 9741/9741E Drive
Cabinet to the customer's power source. Refer to the L5500 Automated Cartridge System,
System Assurance Guide, part number MT9142 to order power cords that connect the
L5510-attached 9741/9741E Drive Cabinet to the customer's power source.

Interfaces
The following interface types are available on T9x40 tape drives:
ESCON
The ESCON-configured T9x40 tape drives have one ESCON Duplex interface port to
connect a 62.5-micron (μm) ESCON Duplex cable.

The drive emulates a single-port 3490E or 3590 tape drive.
•
128 logical paths.

The FC-configured T9x40 tape drives have dual fiber-optic ports to allow for point-to-
point, arbitrated-loop (including redundant-loop) and fabric topology.
•
T9x40A tape drives use short wavelength transceivers with SC type ports and operate
on a 1-Gb channel.
•
The T9840B tape drive uses short wavelength transceivers with LC type ports and
operate on a 2-Gb channel.
•
The T9840C/D and T9940B tape drives use small form-factor pluggable (SFP)
transceivers with LC type ports and operate on a 2-Gb channel. The drives support
the use of short or long wavelength SFP modules.
