4.3 Parameters

Loading parameters into the UMC22
To load parameters into the UMC22 different ways are possible depending on the fi eldbus and the control
system:
The slave confi guration fi le (e.g. GSD fi le for PROFIBUS DP) contains the parameters.
The parameters are changed during confi guration of the fi eldbus and are loaded in the UMC22
during switching on (block transfer, see below).
The slave confi guration is made via particular functions or tools of the control system e.g. EDS fi le
(DeviceNet) or FDT/DTM (PROFIBUS DP/V1; normally single parameter transfer).
The parametrization is done via "handmade" application program of the control system (Single para-
meter or complete block transfer, see below)
The Control Panel allows to set most of the parameters (8.1).
As a special feature the Control Panel can be used to read the complete parameter set of a paramete-
rized UMC22 and to transfer it to another UMC22 (8.2.3).
Remark:
Some parameters are taken over with "power up", others during "motor off". Provided that the internal
fault bit is not set.
