Chapter 3.4.3~1

3.4.3 Emergency start

There are two possibilities for an emergency start:
Emergency start via digital multi-function input DI0, DI1 or DI2
Parameterize DI0, DI1 or DI2 as Multi-function input = 009 (P009) (Prepare emergency start) during
commissioning (4.3.4)
Switch the signal on the parameterized input to 1:
0
1 transition to reset the UMC22 thermal memory to „cold motor", the cooling time and the
blocking signal.
Continuous 1-signal to ignore fault signals on multi-function inputs (if parametrized as fault inputs)
Switch on motor
- via digital input DI4 or DI3 if local control is parameterized or
- via Control Panel or
- with command RUN FORWARD or RUN REVERSE (from control station via fi eldbus)
Emergency start via control system / fi eldbus
Set Parameter Emergency by PLC = On (default is Off) (4.3.4)
(enables the UMC22-FBP to accept the command PREPARE EMERGENCY START)
Send command PREPARE EMERGENCY START
0
1 transition to reset the UMC22 thermal memory to „cold motor", the cooling time and the
blocking signal.
Continuous 1-signal to ignore fault signals on multi-function inputs (if parametrized as fault inputs)
Switch on motor
- send command RUN FORWARD or RUN REVERSE (from control station via fi eldbus) or
- via digital input DI4 or DI3 if local control is parameterized or
- via Control Panel
