19.2 Setting up processes

In automatic mode the Viscometer is controlled using processes. Processes are groups of data
which specify settings such as spindle speed, rotation duration, measurement frequency, etc.
A single batch can incorporate any number of processes.
1. Click on the 'Processes' tab.
2. Click on 'New Process'.
A Process Wizard will start. Follow the instructions given in the wizard to create a single
process. You will be asked to define the following process variables:
Identifier
Start RPM
End RPM
Time
Start delay
Start temperature
Measurements
3. Click on 'Finish' at the end of the process.
The process will appear as a line item under the 'Processes' tab.
4. Go on defining as many processes as you need to define the test procedure.
A name or number for the process
Spindle speed at the start of the process
Spindle speed at the end of the process
Duration of the process (seconds)
Time delay before measurements start (seconds)
Delay start until when above this temperature, or
