Before commencing any work inside the cab-
inet, please observe the safety information in
section Make sure that the main power has
been switched off on page
WARNING
The unit is sensitive to ESD. Before handling
the unit please read the safety information in
the section The unit is sensitive to ESD on
page 32
Identify the I/O unit or gateway unit to be re-
placed.
Disconnect the connectors from the unit.
Tip the unit away from the mounting rail and
remove it.

Hook the unit back onto the mounting rail and snap it gently in position.
Reconnect all connectors disconnected during removal.
Perform the function tests in section
