with Multi- Function Electrodes
NONINVASIVE PACING
Pacing procedure is identical for both NTP 2000 electrodes
and Multi-Function electrodes.
Select DEFIB ON
.
Set energy level.
.
Apply conductive paste to paddles.
.
Place paddles on chest, apply firm pressure.
.
Do not place paddles over pacer electrodes.
.
Pacer electrodes may be left on patient and
connected during defibrillation.
.
Push charge button on apex paddle.
.
Wait for ready tone.
.
Stand clear of patient.
.
Press both paddle discharge buttons.
.
Apply Multi-Function electrodes t o patient.
.
Press electrode firmly t o skin, moving any air
pockets t o outer edges.
.
Connect electrodes t o Multi-function cable.
Select DEFIB ON
.
Set energy level.
Charge
.
Push charge button on PD 1400 front panel.
.
Wait for ready tone.
Discharge
.
Stand clear of patient.
.
Press and briefly hold both discharge buttons.

Select Monitor On
.
Set output t o OmA.
Apply electrodes
.
Apply ECG electrodes t o patient.
.
Apply pacing electrodes to patient.
Press electrode firmly t o skin, moving any air
pockets t o outer edges.
.
Connect pacer electrodes to output cable.
Select PACER ON
.
Set pacing rate.
.
Increase the output m A until stimulation is
effective.
