Noisy ECG display when using paddles as ECG source.
H Ensure "PADDLES" is selected.
H Press and firmly hold paddles against patient. Use gel on paddles.
H Clean paddle surface.
H Check cable for damage.
Poor ECG signal level, calibration pulse normal (IOmm @ 1mV.l
H Change ECG size.
H Change to another lead- I, 1 1 , Ill, ELECTRODES or PADDLES.
H Ensure ECG electrodes are not dried out and are making good contact.
H Install new electrodes using different placement.
NO systole sound (beat detection) or heart rate and flashing heart
are not being displayed on monitor.
H Increase beeper volume on top of unit.
H Change ECG size.
H Change ECG lead selection.
H Alter ECG electrode placement.
H Patient heart rate less than 20 BPM.
No sync marker displayed on ECG monitor signal or recorder
printout, or intermittently displayed on R wave.
H Ensure "SYNC" is displayed on the monitor.
H Change ECG size.
H Change ECG lead selection.
H Alter ECG electrode placement.
