3.4 Preparing the unit for operation

Always ensure that your merchandiser is installed on level floor/counter. There are 4 adjustable
feet at the front and back under the chassis. Please adjust until the ICM levels. Check using a
spirit, if available.
Mains connection: If the mains cord supplied is not long enough, do not use an extension lead
and do not replace it. A qualified technician should replace the cord with a longer one.
3.4.1 Relocation of the unit inside the outlet
Empty the unit of the products.
Unplug the unit from the mains supply.
Fully extract the leveling feet.
Move the unit to the desired location with the assistance of another person through a path clear
of any kind of obstacles. Keep unauthorized personnel at a secure distance.
Release the brakes from the castor wheels.
3.4.2. Installing the rear spacer
To ensure proper ventilation, the unit must be fitted with a rear spacer which will provide the required
clearance at the back of the unit. The rear spacer is supplied with the unit and can be found inside the
packaging of the unit. Fix the spacer on the wires of the back grid.
3.4.3. Levelling the unit
Place the unit on the selected spot. Using a spirit level, check whether the unit is leveled on both
directions. The spirit level can be placed on one of the shelves. If not, level the unit by adjusting the
leveling feet at the four corners of the base (a 32mm wrench will be needed for this task) (Figure 1).
It is essential that the unit is level during operation so as to avoid the possibility of ice accumulating on
the evaporator's fins due to insufficient drainage of the condensates.
3.4.4. Installation of the shelves
Placing the shelves in the correct position ensures the proper operation of the ICM. Please follow the
instructions described in Figure 2.
To adjust the shelves, first unload them, lift them and unclip the shelf clips (4). Place the clips in the
desired position and reposition the shelf. Make sure that the horizontal metal rods at the bottom of the
shelf are between the front and back shelf clips
(Figure 2).
3.4.5. Stability of the cooler
In order for the cooler not to be moved please use the breaks on two front castor wheels.

If the mains cord supplied is not long enough, do not use an
extension lead. Ask an authorized electrician to replace the cord with
a longer one, only if this is described in the list of authorized spare
parts.
Do not plug the cooler into a multiple outlet strip.
Route the power cables in such a way that they are protected from
damage and they do not pose a risk of tripping.
