If coolant temperature is
• > 40 °C (with preheating system), or
• > 5 °C (without preheating system):
Press start button.
• Automatic starting sequence is performed;
• Engine speed display instrument indicates increasing speed;
• After the starting sequence is completed, engine is running at rated
speed.
Due to hydrocarbon deposits, the max. number of engine starts with subse-
quent operation of 30 mins at high idling speed is limited to 12. Following
this, the exhaust aftertreatment system must be regenerated.
Regeneration must be completed in full.
The continuous minimum power of 30 kW/cyl. must not be undershot for
longer than 10 h without interruptions. If undershooting is necessary, the ex-
haust aftertreatment system must be regenerated.
Regeneration must be completed in full.
Action
Close the generator circuit breaker.
Apply full load only after engine has reached operating temperature (coolant
temperature approx. 75 °C).
