5.4.3 Earthing concept

The earthing concept depends essentially on the conditions at the installation site and must be planned
and implemented by a specialist electrical engineer.
The following are provided on the device:
FE connection in the power supply connector as reference potential for the EMC filters

ATTENTION
This connection is necessary in order to comply with EMC requirements.
PE earthing lug in the service slot for earthing the device housing

Recommendation
If possible, FE and PE should be connected via separate cables to the vehicle
ground or respectively to the main earthing.
