Seat Cover; Seat Lock - Triumph Thruxton TFC 2019 Owner's Handbook Manual

General Information
To prevent damage to the seat after
removing:
• Release the metal stand from the
underside of the seat.
• Place the
upwards, on a clean, flat surface
using the metal stand and two
plastic stands at the front of the
seat to rest on.
• For information on seat cleaning,
see page 120.

Seat Cover

A seat cover is provided with the
motorcycle which protects the leather
seat from rain, bird mess, tree sap, sun
and frost. It is located in the storage
compartment on the underside of the
seat.
To install the seat cover:
• Remove the
motorcycle.
• Release the metal stand from the
underside of the seat.
• Open the storage
using the tabs and remove the seat
cover.
• Close the storage compartment and
reinstall the metal stand back in
place.
• The seat cover is contained within a
small pouch. Remove the seat cover
from the pouch.
• Install the seat cover to the seat
making sure that the Triumph logo
on the seat cover is positioned at
the rear of the seat.
• Make sure that the seat cover is
securely installed.
• Reinstall the seat to the motorcycle.

Seat Lock

To prevent detachment of the seat
during riding, after installation always
grasp the seat and pull firmly upwards.
If the seat is not correctly secured in
the lock, it will detach from the lock.
A loose or detached seat may cause
loss of motorcycle control and an
accident.

The seat can be removed to gain access
to the battery, fuse box and seat cover.
The seat lock is located on the left hand
side of the motorcycle, on the frame
below the seat.
