Permitted number of CP 343-1 modules that can be used as
PROFINET IO controllers within an S7-300 station
*) If data is kept on the CPU, the number of operable PROFINET IO devices may be < 32. This depends on the free config-
uration memory of the CPU type being used.
**) The number of PROFINET IO devices that can be operated may reduce if the devices used require extensive configura-
tion data due to numerous submodules. In this case, the memory of the CP is not adequate and you will receive a mes-
sage about lack of resources in the diagnostics buffer of the CP when downloading the configuration data.
***) The diagnostics addresses of the PROFINET IO devices cannot be used as an input on the IO controller. The data area
of the inputs is reduced by the diagnostics addresses used
