Connecting a smartphone to

your Grid Pad
Your Grid Pad can connect to an Android smartphone, enabling
you to send and receive text messages and phone calls. Note that
while this is an option on many Android smartphones, there are
several models that do not support the Remote Phone app. Check
with your local Smartbox dealer for advice on compatible models.
You will also need to licence the software.
Before purchasing any licenses, we recommend that you test the
phone setup with a free trial version to ensure that your phone,
Grid Pad and Grid 3 are all working together correctly.
Installing the Remote Phone application
On Desktop
You can install the Remote Phone desktop app from the Support
folder on your Grid Pad. Open the Start menu and select Support
Documents. Run the CallCentre.exe installer. Once complete, the
software will open and will be ready to pair with your phone.
Tip: You can also download the latest version of the Remote
Phone desktop application from www.justremotephone.com
On your smartphone
You will also need to install the Remote Phone app on your phone.
To find the app, open your internet browser and go to www.
justremotephone.com. There are two versions of the app, a full
paid for version and a 15-day free trial. Before purchasing the full
version, we recommend downloading the trial version to ensure
your phone is compatible with the software.
