3.3 The remote power button
Your Grid Pad come supplied with a remote power button. This
can be used to turn your device on, wake it from sleep or perform
a complete shut down without having to touch the device.
Setup
Out of the box the remote power button will be paired with your
Grid Pad. To use the remote power button, slide off the battery
cover on the back and insert two AAA batteries. If you do not
intend on using the remote power button, or need to store it for a
long period, it is recommended to remove the batteries.
Attaching an additonal switch
The remote power button has a 3.5mm jack built in. With this you
can attach a compatible switch to toggle your Grid Pad on and
off. You could position a switch in an easy to reach place, or use
a foot switch to turn your device on. When a switch is attached, it
will act exactly like the button.
Note: The remote power button is only designed to turn the Grid
Pad on and off, it cannot be used to access the device.
