BURNER ORIFICES
■ Orifi ce sizes are stamped on the fl at of orifi ce
hex, indicating size in millimeters. (Example: 44 is
0.44 mm for LP primary orifi ce.) See Fig.20, and
table below.

■ If orifi ces are reversed combustion characteristics
of the heater will change on low fi re.
1. Loosen the thermocouple nut at the safety
control valve, and remove the auto reset's
retaining screw and clip. See Fig. 15.

2. Pull the air housing from the venturi tube to allow
access to orifi ces.
3. Using a 6 mm hex nut driver, remove the orifi ce.
Clean or replace if needed.
4. When reinstalling, do not overtighten as thread
damage may occur.

BURNER COMBUSTION CONES
AND GASKET
Very little servicing is required for the combustion
cones and gasket. Routine cleaning is suffi cient to
ensure that the cones remain unblocked by dust
and dirt. Periodic tightening of the the three burner
plate nut ensures that the heater operates to normal
combustion characterisitics.
If not cleaned, the venturi tube and inner combus-
tion cone will become blocked, creating poor com-
bustion, gas backfl ashing through the air housing,
or outages. This may require some disassembly if
the blockage cannot be removed by normal (air)
cleaning methods. Refer to the following instruc-
tions.
