Safety information for Océ VarioStream 9000
This safety information for the printing system Océ VarioStream 9000 and the
Océ Web Buffer will provide you with an overview of the safety-related
instructions that must be observed when operating the printing system.
This safety information should be kept near the printing system so that it can be
referenced as required.
Reading this safety information does not supersede the fact that you must follow
all notes and instructions listed in the user's guide and the Help section.
Please also observe the safety directives in the documentation for any
pre-processing and post-processing devices that may be connected.
Intended purpose
The printing system is intended solely for printing materials that comply with the
Océ paper specifications. It may only be used with the recommended
consumables and only operated under the prescribed operating conditions.
The vacuum unit is exclusively intended for the storage of a continuous paper
web, in order to ensure a controlled paper web retraction by the printing system.
The web buffer module is exclusively intended for the storage of continuous
paper webs between the printing system and paper post-print processing.
Any use for other purposes is regarded as improper. The manufacturer is not
liable for any damage resulting from improper use. The user alone bears the risk
in this case. Only strict observation of the notices and instructions in this
documentation ensures use for the intended purpose.
Service personnel
The printing system should only be serviced by trained operators and Océ
Service personnel.
Do not wear loosely hanging items of clothing and long hair should be protected.
Never look directly into a glass fibre cable or glass fibre cable connection. Laser
beams can injure your eyes.
No smoking or open flames.
User's guide/Help
Each printing system includes a user's guide. The purpose of the guide is to
ensure that all work on and with the printing system is performed safely and
correctly. The manual must be kept up-to-date and in readable condition. It
contains safety directives, which must be strictly observed.
