Measurement of filter characteristics
AFG2021 Quick Start User Manual
This section contains a series of application examples. These simplified examples
highlight the features of the instrument and give you ideas for using it to solve
your own test problems.
Use the instrument sweep function to observe the frequency characteristics of
the 50 Ω filter.
1.
Connect the
Channel Output
of the instrument to
the CH1 input of an
oscilloscope with a
BNC cable.
2.
Connect a 50 Ω
filter between the
Channel Output and
CH1 input of the
oscilloscope.
3.
Connect the Trigger
Output of the
instrument and
the external trigger
input connector of
an oscilloscope.
Set the oscilloscope
input impedance to
50 Ω..
4.
Select Sweep from
Run Mode of the
instrument and set
the start frequency,
stop frequency,
and sweep time so
that the waveform
is shown in the
graticule.
You can measure
the frequency
characteristics
of the filter by
sweep time and
the oscilloscope
time base.
