USB Option 2: Using the USB cable
and optional AC adapter
1. Plug the mini-USB connector
into the mini-USB port on
the Drive.
2. Plug the primary USB type
A connector into a USB port
on your computer (prefer-
ably a USB 2.0 port). Leave
the secondary USB type A
connector free.
3. Insert the small plug of the
AC adapter into the Drive's
Power Port.
4. Plug the other end into an
AC outlet.
Once all connections are made,
the Drive will power up and
the Power/Data Indicator will
illuminate.
Proceed to "Mounting a USB-Connected Drive."

USB Option 3: Using the USB cable
and optional PS2/USB power adapter
If your computer is equipped with a PS2 port, you can use the
optional PS2/USB power adapter (sold separately) to power the
Drive. This option allows you to use the USB 2.0 interface and
bus-powered operation, but takes up only one USB port.
1. Plug the mini-USB connector
into the mini-USB port on the
Drive.
2. Plug the primary USB type A
connector into a USB port on
your computer (preferably a
USB 2.0 port). Leave the sec-
ondary USB type A connector
free.
3. Insert the small plug of the
PS2/USB power adapter into
the Drive's Power Port.
4. Plug the PS2 connector into a
PS2 port on your computer.
Leave the USB connector free.
The PS2 connector has an
auxiliary port for connecting
another PS2 device to your
computer.
Once all connections are made,
the Drive will power up and the
Power/Data Indicator will illumi-
nate.
Proceed to "Mounting a USB-Connected Drive."
