NSTALLING THE
Please read ALL sections carefully before using the Drive.
Once you have completed the hardware installation, your
Drive will be ready to use as a general-purpose data storage
device. If you wish to use PushButton™ Backup, once you
complete this section, read the PushButton™ Backup User's
Guide.
This section contains detailed instructions for:
• Connecting the Drive to your computer and mounting it
to your operating system;
• Naming the Drive;
• Re-formatting the Drive for optimum performance.
Connecting the Drive
to Your Computer
The AcomData Ondago Drive can be connected to a laptop
or desktop computer, and it can run off of power supplied
directly by your computer (bus-powered operation), or via AC
power, using the optional AC adapter.
We have included a variety of data cables so that whether
you are using a Mac or PC, a laptop or a desktop, just about
all users will be able to use bus-powered operation.
