(2) Loosen and remove drive belt (Fig. 15). Refer to
Group 7, Engine Cooling.
(3) Disconnect compressor clutch wire lead.
(4) Recover refrigerant system with R-134a recov-
ery unit.
(5) Remove refrigerant lines from compressor (Fig.
16).
(6) Remove compressor attaching bolts (Fig. 17)
and (Fig. 18).
(7) Remove compressor (Fig. 19).

INSTALLATION
(1) Position the compressor on the mount.
(2) Install the compressor attaching bolts. Tighten
bolts to 41 N·m (30 ft. lbs.) torque.
(3) Install drive belt (refer to Group 7, Cooling
System).
(4) Install refrigerant hoses and new seals.
(5) Connect the clutch wire.
(6) Charge the system.
(7) Connect the negative cable to the battery.

(1) Remove the compressor from the mount.
